Until I watched this video, I was of the opinion that this technology, while very very cool and simple to use, was only useful in a scenario where you might have a part of your system that was used by administrators to maintain certain tables of data. I now see that there are many other applications for this technology. I really appreciate the work you are doing to introduce this technology to us new comers.

I do have one question, I am using the OnCreated method to attempt to set some values based on someone inserting a record. I did not have much success because what I was expecting was not what occured. I am using multiple events to control what happens during data changes. When certain fields are updated I want fields in the database to reflect the person and timestamp of when the change was effected. On the other hand for the same table I also use the OnCreated method to populate columns for the person who is doing the insert. The problem that I am running into is that after the insert, the fields for who did the insert are not populated and the fields for who did the update are populated. Do you have any idea why DD would behave that way? In addition, Can I capture the record that was just inserted for audit purposes? Sorry, I guess that was two questions :)

Comment Posted by djibril_chimere_DIAW

Thanks!
