It was very easy to follow even for a beginner to ASP.NET and MS SQL like me. Seeing the application built mostly from the ground up as well as including the full source code definitely helped.

My only suggestion is that for some topics like Metadata validation, you also explain some of the other common properties or link to a page where we can find more detailed information (eg. MSDN's System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations Namespace).

I asked a member of the Web Forms team at MS and got this response:

DynamicControl internally renders one of the field templates such as Text.ascx so you could set the width there.

The right way to set width is to use css and style the container in which dynamiccontrol is defined.

Eg. In this article msdn.microsoft.com/(v=vs.100).aspx to style the width you would set the right css on the table columns
