Internet Information Services 7.0 (Part 4 of 4): Diagnostics

In this session, we discuss some very useful diagnostics and troubleshooting features new to Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0. Some of these techniques can make troubleshooting practically effortless. For instance, the new Runtime Status and Control API enable you to get state information through scripting and to trigger events such as starting and stopping a site. The new Automatic Failed Request Tracing technology empowers you to define error conditions, which, when triggered, write detailed error information to log files. And finally, we touch on adding tracing to your own custom modules.
