I have the similar set up as your sample - scriptManager in master page and scriptManagerProxy in default.aspx. Under the scriptManagerProxy I called a web service, but somehow the web service cannot be invoked. It works if I do not use the master page.

I am also not able to replicate the process. What I am getting is a JavaScript error Saying the 'SimpleService' is undefined. Can you please Help me out. is there any way i can get the code for the demo you have used.

in asp:content as i think,it does not recongnize the scriptproxymanager who can i fix the problem
